Mtec Exhibitions | The Hepworth Wakefield & JW Anderson

Last week saw the opening of ‘Disobedient Bodies: JW Anderson curates the Hepworth Wakefield’, earmarked as one of this year’s ‘must-see’ exhibitions. As sponsors, we were lucky enough to attend the preview dinner which saw JW Anderson give an inspiring speech introducing his unique curation of personal sculptures with notable fashion pieces.  The public opening, the following evening, was marked by an open party with DJ and drinks.

Throughout the exhibition there are a number of associated events including a pop-up event at Trinity Walk, Wakefield with a chance to create wearable sculptures and other fashion themed activities. You can find out more about this and other events here.

The exhibition is complimented by a beautifully produced catalogue and a unique edition of 20 framed pieces by the fashion designer, which you can buy here.

Mtec Jobs | Carola Quirico to join Mtec as Artfair Manager

“I strongly believe that galleries should consider Mtec as a natural extension of their Registrars/Art Fairs teams, knowing they can always count on Mtec’s availability to support their activities at 360 degrees” Carola Quirico

We are pleased to announce the appointment of Carola Quirico as our new Artfair Manager. With the addition of this dedicated role, we aim to provide our clients with tailored services throughout all stages of the Artfair including planning, designing, shipping, installing, customs advice, de-installing and taking care of post sales client services.

Carola comes from a strong shipping background, first joining the Registrar department at Massimo De Carlo in September 2009 and progressing to Global Head Registrar in 2016. During her time at the gallery Carola supervised logistics across all four of the gallery’s exhibition spaces in Milan, London and Hong Kong, including internal and external exhibition movements, client services and, of course, art fairs. She was also instrumental in heading up teams at all four sites including the set-up and expansion of the recently opened Hong Kong Gallery.

We look forward to welcoming Carola into our team and introducing her to our clients and colleagues over the coming weeks. For any further information on our Artfair services or to get in touch with Carola please email info@mtecfreightgroup.com

We need you…

We are currently in the midst of creating our first Client Feedback Survey. The survey will be emailed or sent following a project, and will serve as a means for us to improve and expand upon the services we offer as well as collect vital information and documents. As well as the usual suspects, such as rating our services and letting us know where you feel improvements could be made, installation instructions, risk assessments, reference images and other important items relating to projects can be uploaded directly via the survey for us to keep on file for future reference. This will streamline future communication relating to the project and help us maintain thorough records for all projects.

In order for us to make our new feedback procedure as valuable to all parties as possible we need your help! If you have worked with us and feel that you would benefit from a particular question or feature to be added into our survey then we want to hear from you!

We welcome any suggestions so just email us with your ideas!

They were told where the ashes were taken from within the fateful library, and asked to create a unique piece of work to be auctioned for the charity.

The unique and diverse range of works created can be seen at Christie’s in London’s King Street from Mar, 3-7 and will be auctioned on Mar, 8.

Seasons Greetings from Mtec!

This year we want to thank our clients, supporters and colleagues for making 2016 a year of expansion, innovation and prosperity.
