Developments in our Shipping Department

As the first of many exciting changes planned for the coming months, our Shipping Department has expanded to include two new team members.

This is the first time in Mtec’s 30 year history that we have had a department whose sole purpose is to focus on Shipping; giving Mtec an opportunity to further improve our standards and offer clients greater flexibility and cost effectiveness.

Firstly, Mtec warmly welcomes Edward Naish, as Associate Director in our Shipping Department. Edward gained experience as an Account Manager for a leading London fine art shipper and, for the past 4 years, has been Senior Registrar for a commercial gallery with spaces in Mayfair, Berlin and New York.

Mtec is also joined by Christian Aspen, who coming from MTAB in Norway, is no stranger to the recent cold. Christian established air and road cargo at the MTAB Oslo branch for 8 years, prior to which he was at DHL.

The new team look forward to working with our loyal, existing clients and building on those trusted relationships by reducing response times and offering competitively priced rates for air, sea and road shipments. Within their first 4 weeks the team have serviced client art fair shipments to NY, HK, Mexico and Geneva. One of the ways we are looking to begin implementing these changes immediately is by the introduction of regular Consolidated Shipment mailouts.

We hope to build a Shipping specific database, whose subscribers will be emailed with details of incoming and outgoing shipments which are open to part-load with details of dates, destinations and any other relevant information.

If you have any other queries or questions regarding shipping then please just email either Edward (edward@mtecfreightgroup.com) or Christian (christian@mtecfreightgroup.com).
