Mtec News | Mtec Bursary @ Frieze Sculpture Park 2019

We are proud to announce that for the second year running Mtec are providing a bursary to emerging artists at Frieze Sculpture Park. Last year saw us sponsor the installation and de-installation of two works in the park, TREADPADS (2018) by James Capper and PAN AFRICAN FLAGS FOR THE RELIC TRAVELLERS’ ALLIANCE (2018) by Larry Achiampong, providing an opportunity for Hannah Barry Gallery and Copperfield Gallery to exhibit alongside other renowned galleries and institutions from across the globe.

This year we have continued our ongoing relationship with the fair as major art logistics and installation provider and have spent several weeks preparing for the park to open to the public on Jul, 3.  A large team of technicians and vehicles have been on site for the installation including works by Tracey Emin, Lars Fisk, Barry Flanagan, Charlie Godet Thomas,  Leiko Ikemura,  Robert Indiana, Vik Muniz, Zak Ové and Jaume Plensa.

In 2019 the Mtec Bursary will cover the costs of installation and de-installation of Cloud Study (Partner Dance) (2019) by Bermudian-British artist Charlie Godet Thomas and Cord (2019) by Jodie Carey, both emerging artists with London-based galleries (VITRINE and Edel Assanti).
